Product Description

The 304L stainless steel rectangular tube is a product that is widely used in industries like aerospace, automotive, food, beverage, and dairy. Because it has a high resistance to corrosion, it can also be used in paper and chemical industries and cryogenic services. This is due to the fact that it has been alloyed with 18 percent chromium and 8 percent nickel. It is able to withstand high heat zones and resist intergranular corrosion caused by stress relieving and welding. This chromium-nickel alloy is non-magnetic when in an annealed state. However, when cold working is performed, it can cause slight magnetism. Cold working is typically used to harden and strengthen the tensile of this metal, since heat treatment can’t be used.

It is a readily weldable, machinable, and formable metal. It can be safely used for many of the operations of welding construction because it has a low content of carbon, which greatly reduces the formation of carbides that can be harmful. This is the case when the welding service temperature doesn’t go over 800 degrees F. This metal can be used for parts that need polishing, welding, machining or grinding, and that need resistance to corrosion.
It’s high resistance to corrosion allows it to be used in moderately aggressive corrosive environments, so it’ -One of the most common stainless alloys with high strength and corrosion resistance.s widely used for parts that handle dyestuffs, crude and refined oils, inorganic and organic chemicals, and nitric, acetic, and citric acids. Other applications for 304 stainless steel include kitchen sinks, nuts and bolts, utensils, heat exchangers, construction materials for big buildings, and architectural molding and trimming. This product also has great drawing and stamping properties.
