The aluminum hex bar offers many advantages over other materials.

The 2024 Aluminum Hex bar has a very high strength to weight ratio. It also has good fatigue resistance. While the product is not recommended for welding due to possible degradation of the product, it offers highly machinability. It offers good corrosion resistance for use in marine applications.

The 2024 Aluminum Hex bar offers good tensile strength and shear strength. That is one of the reasons why this product is perfect for use in aircraft manufacturing. It is commonly used in the structure of the wings and other aircraft parts that require a lightweight material that can withstand the forces that are exerted on it.
